Welcome at the website of camping the old watermill run by the family van Schoonhoven- Jongejan, Adriaan, Annelies, Gert, Max en Cato. This is a child friendly camping-farmhouse, run by our family who previously ran a camping farmhouse and hope that we have whit our experience found the ideal holiday spot for you. Where the average summer temperature is 29 centigrade (84 F).

The Tóth Málom is the name of the old watermill which dates back to about 1790, and in the winter of 2005 was bought by the family. It lies on the edge of the picturesque village of Vékény in the South-West of Hungary at the feet of the Mescek Mountains in the provence Baranya. It has a Mediterranean climate.

The watermill is a listed building, and over the course of the last three years, we have renovated it. All the interior is intact. The waterwheel however was removed by the Russians in 1956 and in 2010 a new waterwheel was installed, as you will no doubt understand the watermill is of great importance and a piece of their history so the right renovation is important. The Hungarian people have not always had it easy and indeed a large portion still do not. Yet in spite off this they are warm, friendly and welcoming people with music in their souls, we ourselves feels us completely at home.
